Ella Smetana reports from Kedleston Road
Today we witness an extremely busy Kedleston Road as the University of Derby welcomes the University of Hertfordshire for Varsity 2024.
The annual sporting competition between the two universities sees teams battling it out for the third time, with 21 sports and over 400 players fighting to get points for their side.
The morning got underway, and the atmosphere started to build, with an extraordinary opening ceremony including cheerleading and dance performances from both Derby and Herts.
The Sports Hall was starting to get busy and the noise was growing louder, as students and spectators packed in to get a taste of the day ahead.
Throughout the day viewers can expect to see a whole variety of sports, ranging from table tennis, basketball, American football and so many more.
